What types of insect screens and fly screens are available?

There are various solutions for windows and doors, including roller mesh
screen, sliding, pleated, and Security mesh, Zipscreen, as well as special designs. Each option is suitable for different applications.

What material is the mesh made of?

The mesh of our insect protection systems is typically made of fiberglass. For special requirements, we offer additional options such as stainless steel mesh (extra strong & durable) and Polltec®-TFP mesh, which is ideal for allergy sufferers as it effectively filters pollen. This way, every system can be tailored to individual needs.

How do you properly clean and maintain a fly screen?

Regular cleaning ensures long-lasting protection and optimal airflow. Use a damp microfiber cloth or a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery nozzle to gently remove dust and pollen. Apply light pressure to avoid damaging the mesh. The frame profiles can also be wiped with a damp cloth. This keeps the insect screen clean and functional.

Do fly screens also block pollen?

Yes. Special pollen protection meshes not only keep insects out but also filter a large portion of pollen from the air. These meshes are particularly suitable for allergy sufferers and allow comfortable ventilation even during pollen season.

Are there insect protection solutions for light wells?

Yes. Light well covers or basement shaft covers reliably prevent insects, dirt, or leaves from entering the shaft. These covers are custom-made and consist of weather-resistant, walkable stainless steel mesh. They provide a durable and visually discreet solution for basement and light wells.
